A business should care about CSR

Ten years ago, only a handful of Fortune 500 companies issued sustainability reports. Now, a large number of businesses - large and small - have integrated corporate social responsibility (CSR) as part of their daily business routines.

In a perspective of sponsorship we can say that sponsoring partners can also be viewed as consumers of a company. They represent the company mostly in a totally different field. Today, more consumers than ever are demanding that companies change their practices, become more transparent and communicative and take a more hands-on approach to making the world a better place. Therefore CSR becomes even more important in the field of sponsoring. A transparent communication is essential for being an attractive sponsoring partner.
